Karin Skold is an experienced artist, illustrator and freelance designer from Sweden. Her work is featured in at least two exhibitions per year, and she continuously maintains a varied project list including personal work, graphic design and commissioned pieces.

Skold prefers graphite pencil as her primary medium and enjoys experimenting with texture utilizing different combinations of pencil strenghths and paper types. "Expressing with graphite is fantastic...It affords so many possiblilities and greyscales. I enjoy drawing objects of texture and will, on occasion, incorporate charcoal and pastel to my drawings. I use primarily 2B through 4B pencils, tortillons ,tissues and fixative to reduce smudging."
